Postpartum (Part II): Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy

After battling with Postpartum Anxiety and Depression for the first month of my daughter’s life, 5 months later, I had finally started to feel a little bit more like myself. I was feeling better mentally and was finally able to actually enjoy motherhood. However, little did I know that my body was physically not caught up to the way I was feeling and was still going through a lot.

Read about my diagnosis, recovery, and takeaways from the physical toll that was taken on my body because of the mental load that postpartum took on me. Although this was a scary time in my life, looking back, I would not change a thing. I learned how important self care is and how important it is to listen to your body and do what you need to do to not only take care of your child, but yourself and your family.
